D96 Club Growth Incentives for Clubs 2023-2024

Seven incentives to encouraging all members to grow their clubs and when you do, earn Toastmasters Gift Certificates to support your clubs!
  1. $25 Gift Certificate by attracting 12 new members

Have 12 new members join your club during the 2023-2024 program year and the club will receive a $25 Gift Certificate to the Toastmasters Shop (Toastmasters International -Shop).  The Club Growth Team will be monitoring the new members being added to every club in the District but please inform the Club Growth Director, Jim Heeren at clubgrowth@d96toastmasters.ca.  One $25 Gift Certificate per club in District 96.

  1. $50 Gift Certificate to Clubs Holding Open House in October-November, Jan 10-Mar 10 and May-June. Limit 12 gift certificates per incentive period

Open House Incentive $50 gift certificate to clubs holding open house during the incentive periods.  These are for open houses in October-November and from January 10-March 10 and from May-June.  

The first 12 clubs during each incentive period will receive the $50 Gift Certificate to the Toastmasters Shop (Toastmasters International -Shop).  Clubs not amongst the first 12 will be given a chance to win in the District Draw to be selected in two weeks before the Spring Conference.  A club can be awarded only 1 certificate during each incentive period.  To register your Open House for the Gift Certificate the Club must send the following three items to the Club Growth Director, Jim Heeren at clubgrowth@d96toastmasters.ca.

To be considered submit:

    1. A publicity poster
    2. Report the Number of Guests
    3. Report the Number of Guests that become members
  1. WinBack Award gets a District Draw Entry.  Bring a member back that has not been in the club for one period since they were a member. The District Draw will take place two weeks before the Spring Conference.

Clubs are recognized for winning back their members.  If a member returns to a club after having left the club for one or more dues periods, the club is recognized and entered into the District Draw of free spring conference for two members. Inform the Club Growth Director, Jim Heeren at clubgrowth@d96toastmasters.ca.

  1. $25 Gift Certificate for achieving Phoenix Award.  Clubs with 12 or less members that grows to 20 or more members by June 30.  (Bonus District Draw if achieved by the draw date; two weeks before the D96 Spring Conference)

Clubs that start the year under 12 members and add members to have 20 or more members by June 30 receive a Phoenix Award Recognition Certificate and a $25 Gift Certificate to the Toastmasters

Shop (Toastmasters International -Shop) and one entry into the District Draw for a free District 96 spring conference registration for two members.

The Club Growth Team will be monitoring the new members being added to every club in the District but please inform the Club Growth Director, Jim Heeren at clubgrowth@d96toastmasters.ca when you have qualified for the Phoenix Award.

  1. 20/20 Award gets a District Draw Entry. 1st 20 Clubs currently 13-19 members that reach 20 or more members by April 30 is recognized and has entry into District Draw.

1st 20 clubs that start the year with 13 members to 19 members that reach 20 members by April 30 will be recognized with a certificate and one entry into the District Draw for a free spring conference registration for two members. Clubs achieving this after April 30 will be recognized with a certificate only.

  1. The District Draw

The District Draw will be two registrations paid to the Annual District Conference.  Entries will be from New Club Lead Leading to Demo, Open House Consolation, Win Back Award, Phoenix Award, 20/20  Award.

Smedley Award

Program Dates: August 1 – September 30
Can your club add five new, dual, or reinstated members with a join date between August 1 and September 30? Accomplish this goal and you’ll qualify to receive a Smedley Award ribbon, named in honor of Ralph Smedley, which you can display on your club’s banner. Qualifying clubs can also earn a special discount code for 10% off their next club order.  

Talk Up Toastmasters

Program Dates: February 1 – March 31
Toastmasters love to connect, so take advantage of it. The Talk Up Toastmasters membership program is the chance to encourage your members to invite guests to a special meeting where prospective members can learn about Toastmasters' many benefits. Then add five new, dual or reinstated members with a join date between February 1 and March 31, and you’ll receive a special Talk up Toastmasters ribbon to display on your club’s banner. Qualifying clubs can also earn a special discount code for 10% off their next club order.  

Beat the Clock

Program Dates: May 1 – June 30
Toastmasters are taught to run meetings on time, finish speeches on time and reach membership goals on time. In that spirit, Beat the Clock is a great motivator for finishing the year on schedule—on time and with record numbers!  Make it your club’s goal to earn the Beat the Clock award and encourage every member to take part. Clubs adding five new, dual or reinstated members with a join date between May 1 and June 30 receive a Beat the Clock ribbon to display on the club’s banner. Qualifying clubs also earn a special discount code for 10% off their next club order.
