Adrian Wong

Adrian Wong was born and raised in Nanaimo. He loves to travel, work, volunteer and eat across the globe. Over the past few years, he lived in Shenzhen to work for a startup company developing an energy efficient smart home platform. He would love to share his experience to those who ask. Within 24 hours of attending a Toastmaster Open House event, He found a club to join in D96 and is currently the Chair for the D96 Toastmasters Conference.

Ann McDowall

Ann McDowall is an engineer, a parent, a diver and a textile artist, currently working in physical asset management. She enjoys helping others succeed, whether at work or beyond.

Her availability varies from week to week as she has a husband and two children, it’s quite variable as it depends on her commitments at work; sometimes she can be very flexible, other times less so! For now, she is only available for online presentations at present due to Covid-19.

Area Council "2021-2022" Area Director Election Meeting

Area Directors for the 2021-2022 year will be elected by members of the area council.

Resources and scripts are available in the public directory to help with this process

The Area Director will need to send to send the letter to your Area Council members (Club President, VP Education, VP Membership) four (4) weeks prior to your Area Council meeting where the Area Council will elect the next 2021-2022 Director in your Area.

There is Nomination form and a District Leader Agreement & Release Form for potential candidates to be filled out and submitted.

I have been in Toastmasters since the last millennium. I joined in 1991. I am the Area director of Area 92 currently. I am a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) and I am working on the second one. I already finished one pathway, I am in the middle of my second pathway and I am starting a third one. 

 

I have had the confident communicator award 12 times. I served on every executive position at the club level. I had been the Area Governor 4 years ago. 6 years ago in 2014 I started losing my sight and I became legally blind.
