Dr. Yorsh founded the Walter Gage University Club (now UBC Toastmasters) and was a long time member of Cloverleaf Toastmasters. He was the oldest Toastmaster member in the world when he passed away in 2020. In 2017, he was featured in the Toastmaster magazine. 

To commemorate  his 50+ year contribution to Toastmasters, District 96 has established the Dr. Ralph Yorsh Legacy Award to honour a member who establishes a legacy in the District.
