Marpole Community Toastmaster Meeting

Outdoor Meeting

We are happy to announce that based on the survey results, our August 10 meeting will be held outdoors!

Theme: “Games People Play”
We will talk about different types of games such as outdoor games, party games and also games that people might play in their relationships.

Where?
At QE Park, the same location as the social outing held on July 4, the open space by the duck pond: https://goo.gl/maps/ZGDz5h4nqN3ugmXJ8

Parking is available either along Midlothian Ave or the parking lot near Seasons in the Park. It is also not too difficult to get to if you are taking transit.

Please allow some time to locate the meeting place if you are unfamiliar with QE Park.

We will aim to start on time at 7:05 pm, but will allow some leeway in case people get lost!

NOTE: we will revert back to an online meeting if the weather is unfavourable; we will post a notice in the WhatsApp group by 5:00 pm

How?
We will ensure that physical distancing is in place, and remind people that they should stay home if they are sick.

Please bring your own:
Chair or mat
?Mask if you so desire
?Refreshments if you wish
?Paper/pen or tablet/computer if you are an evaluator
⏱️Person taking the timer role should come prepared with a timing device and indicators (e.g. green yellow, red paper or equivalent)
⚽Your favorite game to play

Why?
A much-needed break from our online meeting format.

The window of opportunity to gather in person is limited, as restrictions will likely apply again in the fall as we approach the flu season. So please take this opportunity to enjoy seeing your fellow Toastmasters in person and enjoy the beautiful weather!

We look forward to seeing each of you!!
