District 96 Toastmasters is delighted to announce that our Keynote Speaker at the Annual Conference 2025 Grand Finale.

Sondra Nunez, DTM

Sondra Nunez, DTM, of Roseville, California, is the second-generation owner and chief financial officer of Mountain Valley Petroleum. In her role, she creates visionary and strategic planning for the company, identifies new product and service opportunities, and ensures the sound fiscal management of corporate finances.

Nunez earned a certificate of business administration from the University of Phoenix in Sacramento, California. She is an active member of the National Federation of Business and Professional Women Clubs (NFBPWC), a non-profit that advocates for and allies with working women. Nunez was a 2014-2015 inductee into the NFBPWC's VIP Woman of the Year Circle, and she has been appointed to the 2022-2024 Executive Committee of the organization. She also serves on the NFBPWC's Justice, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee.

A Toastmaster since 2010, Nunez is a member of her home club, Statement Makers Toastmasters, in Cameron Park, California. She has held several high-profile leadership positions within Toastmasters and has attained the Distinguished Toastmaster designation—the highest level of educational achievement in the organization.

She says, “Living a meaningful, purposeful life requires self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and self-discipline. These skills, and more, are available to everyone through Toastmasters communication and leadership training.”

As a member of the Toastmasters International Board of Directors, Nunez is a “working ambassador” for the organization. She works with the Board to develop, support, and modify the policies and procedures that guide Toastmasters International in fulfilling its mission.
