Speech Contests for 2024-2025
In-person speech contests are back!
Two contests (International and Table Topics) will be held in-person at all levels beyond the club level, and the Online Speech contest (which is optional) will be held online at all levels. The Table Topics and Online Speech contests end at the District level. The winner of the International Speech contest will be submitted to Toastmasters International for qualification at the annual convention.
International Speech - 5-7 minutes any topic
Table Topics Speech - 1-2 minutes, topic provided at the contest
Online Speech - 5-7 minutes any topic
Timelines
December/January - Club Contests
February/March - Area Contests
April - Division Contests
May - District Contests
Summer 2025 - Semi-final and Final contests held at the Toastmasters Convention (International Speech only)
Format
Club Contests can be conducted online, in-person or hybrid. The Online contest must be conducted online.
Area Contests - International & Table Topics will be in-person. The Online contest (if conducted) will be online only.
Division Contests - International & Table Topics will be in-person. The Online contest will be online only.
District Contests - The Online contest will be held online during the week of the Spring Conference. International & Table Topics contests will be held in-person during the Spring Conference.
