D96 SPOTLIGHT - September 2023

For the month of September 2023, our D96 SPOTLIGHT focuses on Ray Miller, Public Awareness Chair for 2023-2024. As a Toastmaster with over 10-years of experiences and learnings to share, Ray is what you would consider the poster child of our CORE values within our District. His decade long journey so far includes taking on Area Director, Division Director and District Logistics Manager amongst many other leadership positions throughout the years (you can view a full list of Ray’s leadership track record right here, it is impressive!).

Ray is also part of District 96’s historical list of past recipients of the Toastmaster of the Year Award for 2019-2020. This award is presented annually to a District 96 Toastmaster who makes a significant contribution to the goals and mission of the District and is selected by the Immediate Past District Director, in collaboration with the District Core Team for the year in question.

Ray’s contributions to District 96 don’t stop there as he was also an integral part of getting D96’s Annual Conference up and running online via Zoom when the pandemic hit, which also included him supporting many clubs with getting accustomed to running online and hybrid-meetings through various workshops! Ray, we extend to you a huge thanks for your long lasting positive influence and leadership commitments you’ve made to District 96 over the past decade. Cheers to your continued success and leadership within District 96 and your journey to DTM!
